Troop 635 in Baltimore, Maryland

We are Baltimore City's First Scouting America Troop for Girls!

TroopTrack & Slack Explained

Troop 635 uses two mechanisms to communicate and plan events.  TroopTrack and Slack.  Once you join the troop, look for an invitation to each in your email.  As a troop member, email T635Info@Gmail.com if any family member needs access.

Note: Troop 635 Scouts have a wide range of ages, and have differing access to computers, phones, and social media.  With TroopTrack and Slack, scouts can employ these tools, or an adult can manage or co-manage communication and planning with the troop.  With all communication, the guidelines in Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT) must be followed.

Troop 635 invited you to Slack!

Follow Slack’s instructions for creating an account and login.  Slack can be used in a browser or installed as an app on a phone or computer.

Where TroopTrack is mainly used for its event planning, calendar, and RSVP platform, the Slack app handles other communication tasks.  Slack is the tool T635 uses to connect with each other or groups and receive general information.

  • See Troop 635's Slack Page
  • Channels allow conversations about specific topics from Campout information to Merit Badges to sharing Photos.
  • Direct messages work like any other text message app to allow direct, simple communication between troop members.
