Welcome to Troop 635 in Baltimore, Maryland!

We are Baltimore City's first Scouting America Troop for Girls!

Troop 635 has a dedicated group of over 20 scouts and we’re happy to accept more. We are an inclusive group that values diversity, integrity, and grit.  

Our mission is to build young women of character through scouting.   We believe that high expectations, progressive leadership, and engaging, adventurous activities will cultivate in our Scouts valued skills, high self-esteem, and character traits that will make them leaders of their generation.

We Get Outside!  We do more than six weekend campouts a year that might include backpacking, hiking, biking, skiing, skating, climbing, or kayaking activities.  Summer camp or a high adventure trip in the summer typically ends a busy year. 

We do BSA High Adventure!  These trips are wonderful capstone experiences for our older scouts.  An 8-day Maine High Adventure backcountry trip included hiking and white-water canoeing.   A trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico focused on wilderness backpacking.  On another trip, Scouts did some epic alpine activities at the Kandersteg International Scouting Centre in the Swiss Alps.  In the summer of 2026, some of our Scouts are heading to BSA's SeaBase for marine high adventure in the Florida Keys. 

We Give Back!  Our Scouts have helped their communities during the pandemic by organizing food drives, writing letters to hospitalized patients, cleaning up parks and streams, and making casseroles for charities.  Three Scout-led service projects are required to attain the Eagle Scout rank.  

We Have High Expectations for Our Scouts ...  We expect every Scout who works hard and wants to be an Eagle Scout will attain the rank.  Our older scouts teach younger Scouts new skills and lead programs throughout the year.  We want our program to be fun and engaging for Scouts until they turn 18.

... and Our Families!  We want parents to be involved with the Troop and share their knowledge and expertise!  We are not a “drop-and-run” troop.  We will value your help.  The difference that the 635 experience makes in the lives of young women makes it worthwhile.

From 2019-2022 we were known as Troop 612G, chartered by Grace United Methodist Church.  In 2023, we moved 2 blocks north, we got a new name, and a new home!  Troop 635 is proudly charted by:
